Validations in android

Validations in general sense means to apply restrictions on various fields in any technology or language so that appropriate record or data is stored and entered. Validations in android can be applied on the fields such as edit text , textview , spinners etc. Validations can be applied in form having fields such as email,password,pincode,contact,name,location etc. In our project we have validations on the similar fields such as on email we can apply the pattern match validation or already existing email , we can apply validation on password as characters specification or we can apply validation on contact that it must be of 10 characters only and pincode validation is that it must be of 6 characters. Name validation can be that name must be greater than 3 characters . Validations can be set using methods as if else method or using switch case .To set the error message we can use setError function if it doesn't match the validations then display the error message entered otherwise it displays null error .And once form is submitted no field should be empty.And if there is error it will not submit the form and will display error messages on the fields otherwise it will submit the form successfully.
